Brive tourist information
where to go - what to see - what to doBrive-le-Gaillarde
Brive makes a convenient base for exploring some of the most spectacular countryside in Limousin with its picturesque towns and villages such as Turenne and Collonges-la-Rouge. You also have easy access to the Dordogne valley, the Haute-Correze forests and the spectacular plunging waterfalls at Gimel-les-Cascades.
The town itself is known for its champion rugby team. However, it's the restored church of St-Martin that holds more interest for the visitor plus the 13th century turreted houses that surround it. One of the most impressive is Hotel de Labenche which is now home to Brive's museum.
