Epernay tourist information

where to go - what to see - what to do

Everything revolves around Champagne in Epernay!  It is home to some of the world's most prestigious Champagne houses and lives quite nicely off the profits.  Its wealth is predominantly seen in the avenue de Champagne quarter with its mock-Renaissance mansions.  Moet & Chandon is situated here with cellars that stretch some 28km underground.  Here you'll be able to join a guided tour in English and compare and contrast two or three different Champagnes.  If you are looking for a more personalised tour head to De Castellane in avenue de Verdun but beware of the rather intoxicating tastings!

Epernay is a daytrip away from Reims with its world-class Gothic cathedral and numerous cultural sites.  It also sits conveniently south of the Parc Naturel Regional de la Montagne de Reims with its lush forests and Botanical wonders such as the Faux de Verzy (half-sized fir beech trees).  Hiking, riding and cycling along with other outdoor activities are popular here.
